Mardi Moore received her Juris Doctorate from the University of Colorado School of Law in May 1997 and was licensed to practice law in Colorado that same year. She received her Bachelors degree with honors in Philosophy and Classical & Ancient Studies from the University of Missouri in 1987, after a year of study abroad in Oxford, England, then entered the University of Colorado Graduate School as a Ph.D. student in Philosophy before completing her studies in Law.

Ms. Moore is a member of the Colorado Bar Association's Trust and Estates Section and is also a member of the Boulder County Bar Association. She has conducted workshops on women's legal issues, family law matters, and spoken to the Colorado Alzheimer's Association about issues related to guardianships and conservatorships for disabled adults. 

Ms. Moore's community involvement includes volunteering with the Boulder County Aids Project, working with youth as a board member with Project YES (Youth Envisioning Social Change) in Lafayette, Co. and serving as middle school youth advisor for the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. She sings in jazz band, practices yoga, and loves to dance. She is married and is the mother of adult daughter.
